Version: 3.2.1 (using KDE 3.2.1, SuSE) Compiler: gcc version 3.3 20030226 (prerelease) (SuSE Linux) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-4GB-athlon How to reproduce: 1. Type "www" in the location bar, it shows auto-complete possibilities. 2. Right click, chose "clear history". 3. Type "www" again, no auto-complete at all, seems fine. 4. Close konqueror, restart konqueror. 5. Type "www", and there they are, the initial auto-complete entries.
It doesn't completely clear for me either. All the entries in the hist. sidebar and combobar are gone, but I can textcomplete a few sites (like, um, bugs.kde.org bugs that weren't open when i closed konqui )
Konqueror merges in the bookmarks into autocompletion. Are you sure you're not seeing that?
> Konqueror merges in the bookmarks into autocompletion. Are you sure you're not seeing that? You're right... I guess clear history indeed does work for me.
> Konqueror merges in the bookmarks into autocompletion. Are you sure you're > not seeing that? Ah, that might be it. Hmmm, not sure if I like that. Seems like a cool feature, but can be pretty bad privacy-wise no? J.A.
Closing since it's not a bug after all. Like I said though, I have many doubts about this feature. Bookmarks may be revealed at any time and I'm pretty sure many people won't like that.
Then again, there is something wronge here. > 1. Type "www" in the location bar, it shows auto-complete possibilities. > 2. Right click, chose "clear history". > 3. Type "www" again, no auto-complete at all, seems fine. This means, no auto-complete entries. > 4. Close konqueror, restart konqueror. > 5. Type "www", and there they are, the initial auto-complete entries. And in here, auto-complete entries available again. So one of these must be wrong, right? There is a bug in here somewhere. I've just noticed other strange behaviours. If I type "w", I get about 5 auto-complete entries all starting with "www", and if I type "ww" 2 of them disapear.
