Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0) Installed from: Compiled From Sources OS: Linux This is a Cool Nifty Feature I just dreamed up. When the mouse is idle, make it only an outline. After when it moves, fill it in solid. When it stops moving, fade from solid to transparent, or translucent. I don't know why it happened, but I was reading a web page and my mouse was over text, and rather than have an I-beam, I had a solid arrow that was blocking the text (for whatever reason, maybe it was text in an image) I had to reach out and move the mouse, which annoyed me. That's when I thought that if it is idle for several seconds, it should assume I don't need it and fade away, yet let me know it is still there, so I can plan my next motion vector with it (no mouse would mean I don't know where it is, so I can't use a fluid motion to connect with the mouse and have momentum carry itself in the direction that I want it to go.... yes I am that lazy) I don't know if it as XFree86 thing or a KDE thing.. but it is something BillG does not have that I think would be innovative. For example, my optical mouse lights up when I move it. Same thing should happen with the mouse cursor, except not to abrupt-off.
