Version: 3.2.0 (using KDE 3.2.0, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 [FreeBSD] 20031106 OS: FreeBSD (i386) release 5.2-RELEASE when no stylesheet is in effect, foreground text is always black no matter what system settings say; OTOH file manager foreground color is right I use a DigitalCDE-style color scheme with very dark background and HTML pages are hardly readable this doesn't happen in 3.1.X
Can you provide an example html page that this occurs on? Sincerely, Andrew Hamilton

HTML source is just <html> <body> This should be white... </body> </html>
Still not fixed as of KDE 3.3.0. It would be less nasty if it also defined the background to a fixed color, e. g. white.
This is also reported in Debian: http://bugs.debian.org/282146.

EXCUSE ME but this is not the same bug as #47320. I took my time to verify this problem was not already reported when I first submitted it. I'm reporting that WHEN NO STYLESHEET IS IN EFFECT, system text color is black no matter which color scheme is selected by the user. The fact that millions of web pages out there have incomplete color definitions is a different issue, and I don't expect khtml to fix that: it is the web page author's fault.
I have been having the same problem as Mr. Solaz. This is an important oversight that should be corrected. He is absolutely correct that this IS NOT Bug #47320. The whole point of the color schemes is that they be followed -- I get black-on-black text frequently despite my defaults being white on black. Please acknowledge that this is a problem and fix it! Thank you.
I've too run into this problem and it's obviously NOT the same bug as #47320. Please reopen this bug-report.
