Description David Grant 2004-03-03 05:01:24 UTC
Version: 1.6.1 (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.x
OS: Linux

I was not able to find this bug any where, so I thought I'd create it.

I'd like the ability to Find and Replace in all the files in my project.

Half of this is implemented already, sort of. In the CVS version of Kile you can search in files now (if you keep a project in a separate directory this effectively means you can search in a project).

Replacing is not implemented at all, but it is on my personal wish-list as well!

best,
Jeroen

I was gonna submit the same thing (replace in all .tex files in project and also replace in all open files)

Any progress here? I'm currently re-arranging my thesis and replace within the whole project would come in quite handy ... ;)

There is something that can do this now, libkfilereplacepart.la. Quanta uses it, although it doesn't work for me, as for some reason I don't have the library installed.

Looks like a duplicate of:
Bug 45046: add replace in [open] files feature

I see there is already a "find in project" feature in my version of Kile (1.9.1), but i could really have needed a "replace in project"-feature when i had to revise a LaTeX-Project written by someone else.

I'd like to see this one re-opened since replace in files would be such a powerful feature
