Version: 1.6 (using KDE 3.2.0, SuSE) Compiler: gcc version 3.3 20030226 (prerelease) (SuSE Linux) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-4GB-athlon It is a good thing that kmail displays a warning when opening attachments. However, there is a case when this mechanism is not enough. Sometimes mail-servers remove attachments which are considered too large from the message and offer a download URL instead. This can look like this: The attachment 'foobar.doc' was removed from this mail, but may be accessed at this URL (approx. 4321KB): http://server.where.the.attachment.is.stored.com/attachmentxyz.doc Clicking on this link will NOT display the warning you would get if the attachment was delivered with the message. There should be an option to show a warning for all links as well as attachments.
