Description Leo Savernik 2004-02-24 09:18:48 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

KDE 3.2's Kate doesn't restore the positions of the cursor in the opened files on startup.

One can make Kate remember the cursor position of the last *active* file by checking
[X] Restore window configuration

However, contrary to the behaviour of KDE 3.0's Kate, the cursor positions of all open files that are not active are forgotten at startup.

Note: I'm not referring to session restore; that doesn't work at all, bug 74564 (apparently fixed now), but to manually closing kate, then, in the same session, or another one, opening kate manually again.
