Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0) Installed from: Mandrake RPMs OS: Linux 3.1.x used to have 'sessions' tab in control center->login manager where you could edit/select the session types to be available at login. In 3.2 this appears to be changed to a 'Shutdown' tab & there doesn't appear to be any way to edit the session types. Or has it been moved & I just haven't been able to find it yet? The help file still refers to it being where it was.
yes, the session setup is gone, as the way sessions are configured changed entirely and the frontend was not adapted. read $KDEDIR/share/doc/kdm/README for instructions. and yes, the docs are outdated ...
I sure hope a new frontend is in the works. I read the README file, but I can understand less than half of it. This is WAY to difficult for a nOOb to set up this way. However, I guess this bug is 'resolved' as nothing further can be done about it at this time & there isn't much point moving something as obvious as this to wish list.
oh, well, i would have left it open until the new setup dialog is created. not that i complain about a shorter bug list ... :)
