Version: 3.2.0 (using KDE 3.2.0, Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r4, propolice) OS: Linux (ppc) release 2.4.24-ben1 konqueror is very very slow when browsing http://www.unita.it This slowness is probably related to animated (flashing) GIFs aside the titles. Safari browse the page without any problem.
I can reproduce this, but could not break down the problem. I do not think that it is related to the GIFs, but to Javascript. However, I am not sure.
Same setup here. I am able to reproduce the bug too. I think it has not something to do with gifs, never seen konqueror choking on animated gifs. I can see a red border flashing at the top of the page. My bet is javascript.
I noticed that every minute the page is resizing itself, so the bottom slidebar appears and slowly get to 100%, then disappear. Probably the page resize by 1 or 2 pixels forces the redraw of too many elements...
