Description Sander Devrieze 2004-02-08 14:28:43 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages

KNode can render words like *bold*, /oblique/, and _underlined_, but sentences with these aren't rendered. (see also RFC1855, page 4)

My proposal:
Make rendering of (parts of) sentences like beneath also possible:
*this is a bold sentence*
/this is an oblique sentence/
_this is an underlined sentence_

When this is implemented, this code can be also used by KMail as described in Bug 74565

Related issue: Formatting that immediately proceeds punctuation is not recognized, either. For example:

*word*.
/word/.
_word_.

This is on KNode 0.10.2 with KDE 3.5.3.

I think that this probably goes with this bug, since this bug is about the visual display of these emphasized words. If it does not belong here, please let me know and I can file a new report.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
