Version: 3.1.95-0.fdr.0.1 Red Hat (using KDE 3.1.95-0.fdr.0.1, Red Hat Linux (Yarrow)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031022 (Red Hat Linux 3.3.2-1) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.1-1.126 I just upgraded from KDE 3.1 to an RC of KDE 3.2 and love the improvements to tabbed browsing, but a new bug seems to have cropped in. When I click my middle mouse button on a link to open it in a new tab, with tabs set to load in the background, a new tab loads without a title and without a favicon. The strange thing is that the size of that new tab is actually the exact same size it would be if it did load the title in it. Clicking the tab to focus it finally does bring up the favicon and title too. This is 100% reproduceable. The only time a new tab loads with its favicon and with the title is if I've already loaded and focuses the same page in another tab. I'd imagine this is a bug critical enough to require fixing before KDE 3.2 is released. If someone needs me to do anything to isolate the problem, like see if this still happens with different settings for tabbed browsing, I'd be glad to help.
Cannot reproduce this. About no title text, are you sure that you simply don't use a color scheme where you can't distinguish the loading tab text color from the tab color?
Actually, yes. I had my inactive titlebar background color set to a darker gray and set the text color to the same grey that I use for the window color. Since apparently the blue text color that loads when a tab is freshly loaded is taken from the "Link" color, shouldn't the text color for a tab that's still loading be a link color too? "Followed Link"? If those background tabs aren't the same color as an inactive titlebar, it seems problematic to use the inactive title text color. Or maybe the color should be the same grey that's auto-generated for inactive menu items?
