Description Dirk Mueller 2004-01-25 18:06:01 UTC
Hi,

when configuring a inbox-foo as destination folder for my POP3 account "foo",
I would like to have it marked like the first inbox, with that inbox
icon and also sorted on top similiar to the "real" inbox.
Comment 1 Magnus Holmgren 2006-04-05 21:21:20 UTC
Indeed. All other sorts of special folders are treated as such: drafts, sent messages, trash on IMAP servers, so there is no good reason that destination folders for POP3 accounts, local mboxes, and local maildirs shouldn't get the special icon and sorting, too.

Treat target folders like other inboxes

Is this acceptable? I'm wondering why target folders are referred to by pointer
whereas trash folders, sent folders etc. are referred to by id strings.

Thanks for the patch and sorry for the late answer!

Mail the patch to the KDE PIM mailinglist (kde-pim at kde dot org) for review. The core developers of KMail are not actively monitoring the bug tracker. I am also occasionally contributiong, but I don't yet have enough knowledge of KMail to review patches.

From a quick glance at the patch I wonder if you should check all other uses of kmkernel->inboxFolder() and maybe even remove that function (because now, there is no longer a single inbox folder) or change the function to return a list of all inbox folders. But again, I don't know enough about KMail to judge this.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
