Description Fabio Rossi 2004-01-23 01:24:36 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.3)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
OS: Linux

When KDE starts up, a konqueror window with 3 tabs (1 html page and 2 PDF files)
opens automatically (saved session). The PDF are showed by kghostview inside
the tab. If I select one of the tabs with a PDF file, I can't browse the doc with keys PagUp and PagDown.
To "reactivate" this feature, I change the current page of PDF selecting a page number in the list on the left with the mouse. Now it's possible to browse the pages with the keys PagUp and PagDown (as it'd be).

This isn't correct, the bug doesn't shows in konqueror stand alone.

                                             ^^^^^^^^^
                                           this is kghostview
Comment 4 Fabio Rossi 2004-02-19 21:31:47 UTC
Sorry, I forgot to say the bug shows only when the PDF file is in a background tab.
Comment 5 Fabio Rossi 2004-05-31 22:17:23 UTC
I have tried on a Gentoo system too, with KDE 3.2.2 built from sources. The bug is still there :-(
Comment 6 Fabio Rossi 2004-12-07 13:22:03 UTC
After almost a year the bug is still there! Now I'm using KDE 3.3.1 compiled from sources.

The exact procedure to see the bug is the following:

1. Open a konqueror window with more than one tab
2. In a tab open a PDF document with kghostview
3. Put the tab with the PDF in background
4. Save session (logout -> login)
5. Select the tab with the PDF with the mouse
6. Now if you use PagUp e PagDown to try scrolling the document... no movement
Comment 7 Fabio Rossi 2005-07-14 09:17:53 UTC
Same problem with KDE 3.4.1 using KPDF or KGhostview embedded preview
Comment 8 Fabio Rossi 2006-06-07 22:55:02 UTC
Same problem with KDE 3.5.2
Comment 9 Adrián Chaves (Gallaecio) 2012-10-14 20:42:41 UTC
Does this still happen with KDE SC 4.x?
Comment 10 Fabio Rossi 2012-10-17 22:45:24 UTC
KDE 4.x doesn't include anymore kghostview so I'll close this bug report.
