Version: 1.0 (using KDE 3.1.94 (3.2 Beta 2), SuSE) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-166-athlon Hi, One of our Dutch audience wrote me this about the city Kapteyn: "There is a place called Kapteyn in The Netherlands, according to the Englisch version of kstars. The used coordinates correspond with the city Nijmegen I don't know who the joker is that put this name in the English version, but imho it is incorrect. Kapteyn was a well known astronomer at the start of the 20th century. He was the founder of the Kapteyn Institute in Groningen, part of the University of Groningen. It is possible that a personal starwatch in Nijmegen uses that name, but Google couldn't find anything. Anyway, Nijmegen is the name of the city."
Changing this to a bug, since it's an error, not a feature request. I'll fix this as soon as the freeze is lifted from 3_2_BRANCH.
Indeed you are correct. Kapteyn was a well known Dutch astronomer. In Holland we do have the famous Kapteyn Laboratorium, specialized in far-end infrared detectors used in IRAS. The lab is situated in Groningen, a city in the north of Holland, so I would propose to use the co-ordinated of Groningen, which is already in the city database and take out the Kapteyn city.
