Version: 3.1.94 (using KDE 3.1.94 (CVS >= 20031206), compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.24 Open a konqueror window as filemanager and go into a directory with several files and directories. Sort order is sorted by change time and not by name. Take care, that the active cursor is in the window with the files and directories. There maybe a file named linux-2.4.24.tar.gz. Now type "linux" - the cursor should now go to a file or directory named "linux" - but the cursor stays at its point. Kind regards, Andreas Hartmann
I can't reproduce. This works fine in HEAD 20031222.
Subject: Re: finding files / directories by typing characters does not work > I can't reproduce. This works fine in HEAD 20031222. At this time, it worked fine. The problem was introduced later. I have sources from HEAD 20040114. Regards, Andreas Hartmann
