Description rein lemmens 2004-01-08 00:00:19 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from: (testing/unstable)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20030908 (Debian prerelease)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22

When writing a data dvd with big files (bigger than 1Gb), it is necessary to include an udf filesystem, or only the first megabytes of the big file will be readable on linux. On windows, the whole file is readable, but when you copy it over samba, windows doesn't seem to know the end of the file.

Anyway, all this is solved, by checking 'generate Udf Structures' in de filesystem tab. I think k3b should do this automatically, because otherwise you are writing worthless dvd's.

kind regards,
rein

I agree completely... I just produced a 2 Euro coaster trying to burn a 3.6GB OGM File onto a DVD-R...

I wrote a 2nd Session to a Multisession DVD on my Windows XP Computer.
Now i tried to open the DVD on my Linux Computer.
I can read all the Data that were wrote in the first Session but the Folder containing the 2nd Session is invisible on my Linux System, with WinXP it works fine. But I'm a total Linux n00b so may be i missed a thing?!

Kind regards

Bigf0ot, you can specify which session to mount from the command line.

Closing this bug because it can probably be fixed by one of the below:
1. installing a new version of K3b
2. installing a new version of the cdrtools
3. Using a lower writing speed
4. using a different writing mode
5. using a different media brand.

If none of the above help and closing this bug was a fault, please reopen.
