Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources I'm using KMail from Debian cvs builds 'cause I want the Disconnected IMAP + Filters. I have filters working all right, but when I removed one folder (from IMAP), it should remove the filter (or at least ask for an action), since the filter moves the message to that folder. I don't have any other account to test, but maybe this behaviour is present in other pop/imap/mbox/maildir accounts? Gustavo
no bug
Sorry man, But that IS a BUG. Kmail should present at least a warning about that filter refering to the deleted folder. What happens to the mail filtered to that folder? It creates that folder again? Leave the mail (don't filter)? It's not predictable. I don't know kmail internals, but i don't think it's too dificult to fix, just travesse the filter's list relating the folder and then present a message: "The filter <FILTER> refers to the folder <FOLDER>, which you want to delete. What to do? [Delete the Folder and Filter] [Delete just Folder] [Abort] " Sure, you should put better, more kde-like, message. Please reconsider this as a bug. Gustavo

Quote from my duplicate: " I think that after deleting it would be good to show filters dialog and highlight all affected rules. If none -- of course do not show that dialog. " And of course _clear_ info about what will happen with "filtered" message with deleted folder as Gustavo pointed out.
PS. Gosh -- the summary is scaring -- of course deleting folder should NOT have effect of deleting a rule -- it is a lot of work sometimes put there.
