That is the "file dialog crash", bug #66142

As you seems to use SuSE 9.0, do you have updated KOffice with the fixed package or is it the original package distributed with SuSE 9.0 Pro?

Have a nice day!

I wrote "fixed" but it is not correct. The updated package only contains a
work-around. Unfortunately, it seems possible to trigger the bug despite the
work-around. (That is also why I would need to know which of the packages you
are using.)

To avoid a possible misunderstanding: the updated package is made by SuSE and
is on SuSE's servers, not in KDE's ones.

Hi Nicolas!
SuSE pro. The entire filesystem crashed last night,
so I'm not sure the problem is in the application!
Thanks! Shelley

Subject: Re: When "save as" dialog is completed application and file disappear

If you do not have updated any KOffice package from SuSE 9.0 Pro to the
updated ones of the SuSE sites (by whatever mechanism), then you have the
version without the work-around. This version is going to crash anyway.

The problem is that the bug is difficult to track down, so even the
work-around do not avoid all crashes. (This bug is the main reason why
KOffice 1.3 release continues to be postponed.)

Have a nice day!
