Description eldoc 2003-11-28 17:04:27 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

When beeing in many mailing lists it's often difficult do keep track of the latest news.
So in Reference to the already closed wishes 37529 (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37529) and 17457 (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17457)
a feature to automatically mark all messages in a folder as read after a defined time would be very useful.
E. g. when I am fetching my mail every 20 mins I would like to have all messages marked as read in my mailing list folders after 19 mins.
=> I can easily see from the bold font of the folders that there are really new massages in there.

How to implement?
Add this below similar to the option "delete all messages in this folder after xx days" to the folder pop-up/context menu.

Thanks.

It would be also nice to mark all messages in a folder AND its subfolders
as marked

I guess you could achieve something similiar to this just by defining a filter which matches on <age in days> and then marks the messages a read.

OTOH you would still have to apply the filter manually, so perhaps this is not entirely what you want..

Cheers,

This maybe not exactly what is wanted - but as there no one votes on this special feature...
