Version: 0.20 (using KDE KDE 3.1.93) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux I can only use PgUp/PgDown to navigate in kghostview page by page. But when I want to use the arrow keys or spacebar to move only a few lines or move down the current page it does not work. Kees
It appears that the shurtcut for this operation is not set by default. I solved problem by configuring the space bar key for the "Read Down Document" shortcut. In my opinion this option should be configured by default. Kees
The problem also exists in KDE 3.2-beta2 (3.1.94) When KGhostView is started or a new file is opened, the arrow keys don't work (one cannot scroll up and down with them). Pressing Shift+Tab seems to put the focus on the document and then the arrow keys work, but there is no indication of whether the document has focus. Clicking on the document doesn't give it focus. Expected behaviour: The document should have default focus and should always get the focus after clicking a toolbar button or a menu item. That way it remains scrollable with the arrow keys. Also, clicking on the document should give it the focus.
I can confirm this and really don't know why nobody fixed this. Gosh this was reported months ago. If I had not come here to read this I would not even know that it's a focus problem. Pressing tab to focus the document worked but expected behaviour definately is to focus the document window when you click into it! Also Shift should be bound to 'Read document down' by default. (Somehow read document up is bound to shift+space by default).
same problem here with 0.20 (KDE 3.2.0, sources, gcc 3.3.3, FreeBSD 5.2-RELEASE) how annoying -- how do I change bug status to CONFIRMED? [nice shift+tab workaround, thanks]
Confirming. Still there in KDE 3.2.1. I wonder why it is broken in the first place. A diff between 3.1 and 3.2 doesn't give any hint.
It works now here in kde 3.2.1 (gentoo packages) But I recently removed my ~/.kde so that might have to do with it. Seems like the bug can be closed but don't know how to do it if I can anyway.
Well I removed my .kde too in 3.2.1 on my laptop IIRC. Thats where I still have the problem (I'm on 3.2.1 on my lappi still). Gentoo too. But where it really seems fixed is in 3.2.2 on my desktop pc. No problems there anymore.
This is already the case in Okular.
