Description Mark Dickie 2003-11-17 13:11:09 UTC
Version: 0.7.93 (using KDE 3.1.93 (3.2 beta 1), Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031022 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r2, propolice)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-gentoo-r6

Whenever I try to connect to MSN I get the following message:-

The connection with the MSN server was lost unexpectedly.
If you cannot reconnect now, the server might be down. In that case, please try again later.

I also use ICQ and it seems unaffected. Was working untill a couple of days ago, tried a re-install with no affect.

It's quicker to scan the 'similar bugs list' than to type in a bugreport!

This bug is still existing, not resolved!

what version of kopete are you using?
that should be fixed in CVS (HEAD and BRANCH) but it's not in KDE 3.2.1

anyway, removing the contactlist.xml file should allow you to connect again.
