Creation, deletion, and modification of notes in knotes doesnt update kontact summary.

Indeed. The workaround is to do press the refresh button in the KNote window and going back to the summary.

The workaround does not do it for me.
The summary page does not refresh other items as well, for example my KMail imap inboxes still show new messages in folders that are already marked as read.

Fixed. There is still a problem with KNotes not updating the changes done in Kontact, but that's #68327

Sometimes, it does not show appointments, though it has shown them before AND the date is correct. 

Wouldn't it be possible to simply reload it any time the summary is selected by the user?

Looks like it is still not completely fixed using Kontact 1.1.1 and KNotes 0.5. I use KNotes only from within Kontact. I have no refresh button at all, neither in the summary nor in KNotes section.
