Version: kwin_iii (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources Start XMMS. Enable equalizer and playlist windows. Press alt-tab. See that all three XMMS windows are shown. Only the main window should be shown.
Is this a xmms or kwin bug? What hints are set?
Interesting, now with KDE 3.2.1 (Debian unstable) I'm seeing alt-tab showing up all three sub-windows (f.e. xmms main, playlist, equalizer) but as I alt-tab thru and select one at a time, it slowly loses those extra entries in the alt-tab task selector. Ie, if I do that three times, then I get back to a single xmms item in the alt-tab selector. This makes life easier (my desktop's open for days at a time) but it's still a bit weird as far as 'normal' behaviour goes. It may well be a problem with the way that xmms registers 'sub' windows when it creates them.
With kde 3.3.0 beta 1 (debian unstable still) I'm seeing this back to normal - even with playlist & equaliser windows open at session start, I get a single instance of 'xmms' showing in the alt-tab cycle. Thanks, Jedd.
I'm using KDE 3.3.1 and I get all three XMMS windows in the Alt-Tab list.
Perhaps this bug is related to Bug 91670.
Can't reproduce in 3.4.0.
I can reproduce it just fine in 3.4.0. Please reopen.
Mmmm, this bug is weird.
Upgraded to 3.4.1, and bug no longer occurs for me.

the bug never happened to me in 3.4.1, but now in 3.4.2 - alt-tab shows gkrellm.
Cannot reproduce in 3.4.3 with XMMS 1.2.10
Can't reproduce any longer in KDE 3.5, closing
