Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.4) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r1, propolice) OS: Linux It would be nice if KDE offered a icon-like dialog but for sounds. When you have to choose an icon in an application, a user friendly icon dialog appears, that let's you see icon categorized (mime types, file systems, actions, aplications), but for sounds, you just get the same open file dialog as with any other file. It would be nice that application that asks for a sound, could show a nice dialog like icons, with categories if necesary, that lets you hear the sound, and if you want, browse for a file, it would make things easier and more user friendly I think.
This seems like it might be a Dolphin thing since that's the file manager? I'm sending it over there in hopes that it might get more attention. Feel free to move it back if that's mistaken.
File dialogs have kmediaplayer integration.
