Version: 2.3 (using KDE 3.1.2) Installed from: Gentoo Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-gentoo-r5 I think that knotes should behave more like post it notes... like so you can have them on the desktop, and they will stay there automatically on all desktops, and will NOT have an entry in the taskbar. also it might be cool to have them stuck to other windows so when you move that window the note moves too. like have a pin icon when it's clicked the note sticks to the window under the pin.

For now just add desktop=-1 to .kde/share/config/knotesrc under [WindowDisplay]. > and will NOT have an entry in the taskbar. Hmpf, one user complains about having it, the other about not having it... :-} But there is a solution: grab the current KNotes and uncheck the button that says "Show Notes in Taskbar" or something like that :) > also it might be cool > to have them stuck to other windows so when you move that window the note > moves too. like have a pin icon when it's clicked the note sticks to the > window under the pin. Hmm... no, that is not possible with the current API. I won't implement this. Cheers, Michael
like this pissy active desktop , but the right way embedded with the Desktop :-) maybe cool .. even shading notes would be great
Pinning to a window cant be implemented and everything except looknfeel has been resolved. Depends on #99853.
