Version: (using KDE Devel) Language setting isn't consistent with kcmlocale. There's space enough in kcmdkm on a 800X640 resolution and so it will not be a problem to do language selection like in kcmlocale. This also make introducing another feature easier. Some countries have more languages. If people select a country in the list, they get all the languages of that country (and they can add more if they like). This list can be used to introduce a feature interesting for for example public computers: "Enable language selection in kdm". If people enable it, kdm will show a language drop-down-menu button in kdm which can translate kdm on-the-fly. Only the selected languages are listed in the same order as in the kcmkdm list. Advantages: o Consistency. o Extra functionality possible without loosing consistency: e.g. public computers.

kdm reached it's end of life with Plasma 4, whose last bugfix release was last August 2015, we are sorry we did not get to implement this wish. We encourage you to try Plasma 5 and its recommended display manager SDDM and it's control module kcm_ssdm. If you think your wish still applies to SDDM and/or kcm_ssdm please do not hesitate to add it. Sorry again we could not process your wish.
