Description Damir Perisa 2003-08-30 13:44:36 UTC
Version: v0.8.3 (using KDE 3.1.3)
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 3.3
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22

very anoying:

if i transfer 1 file ... cpu-consumption normal (below 1%)

if i transfer 2 files or more ... the whole system becomes slow because kget is using about 99% of cpu

-> no difference if visible or not

I made similar experiences. If there is a running download the kget dowload window refreshes oftenly (window jitters a little bit). Command top shows the entire downlod time about 25% for X. If the download is completed, the high cpu consumption ends.

my system:
KDE Version: v0.8.3 (KDE 3.1.93 (3.2 beta 1), compiled sources)
Application: KGET-Download Manager
Operating System: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2
XFree86 Version: 4.2.1
