Description Aris Basic 2003-08-28 17:21:41 UTC
Version: 0.7.1 (using KDE KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

often specificaly AIM and ICQ plugin show the status as online but are not online and even disconnect all and reconnect do not help
it still shows fake online status. sometimes changin directly to offline and then online again helps but not all the time
it looks like the plugins hang.

all my testing supports my conclusion that there is something wrong with oscar
plugin (AIM/ICQ) it hangs often in "conected" state even though it isnt,
disconnect all doesnt help against it, it shows connected state but itsnt, only
complete restart of kopete helps. Couldnt get reason for it but it happens on at
least 3 installations of kopete (0.7.1).

This is exactly what I describe in Bug 63717 - marking this one as a duplicate
since the other has more commentary/discussion.
