Version: 2.1.2 (using KDE 3.1.3) Installed from: (testing/unstable) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 20030722 (Debian prerelease) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-1.PENTIUM4 I have a sanyo 8100 PCS phone with a USB adapter cable. I'm able to access the phone via minicom and chatscripts without issue. Kppp will not communitcate with it. It replies the modem didn't not respend when it attempts to to anything. I can open a terminal but it will not allow RX/TX. stderr shows: Opener: received OpenLock Opener: received OpenDevice Opener: received RemoveLock Accessed as /dev/modem /dev/modem -> /dev/usb/acm/0 230400 baud. Remaining settings are defaults. I have done a strace of both minicom and kppp accessing the device. minicom I start, it init's the modem and I quit. kppp I start go to setup, modem, query modem, ok, ok, quit Straces: http://ftp.psychosis.com/kppp.strace.gz http://ftp.psychosis.com/minicom.strace.gz
Same issues still present in KPPP 2.1.4 (KDE 3.2.2)
Same EXACT problem but with a Motorola T720/T730. Works fine with minicom, can open connection and send/recieve data ATZ, ATDT, etc... KDE 3.3.2 KPPP 2.2.0 I would love to use KPPP but this is just huring it at the moment
