Version: 0.7.0 (using KDE 3.1.3) Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-0.7mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-6mdk Running Kopete .70 in a chat window, while typing text you hit enter and instead of sending the text to the chat window it does a carriage return. It should send the text otherwise you have to take your hands off the keyboard each time you want the text sent.
the default KDE shortcut to send things like messages is CTRL+enter. This is used in KMail (for example). The can also be configured by clicking Settings->Configure Shortcuts in the chatwindow, so you can configure Kopete to send on Enter if you wish.
Subject: Re: pressing enter in chat window does not send text I wasn't aware those were KDE defaults but it's good to know it's configurable. Thanks for the info.
