Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.1) Installed from: SuSE Compiler: gcc version 3.3 20030226 (prerelease) (SuSE Linux) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-4GB This bug was found in KDE Control Center Theme Manager (kcmthememgr, but the bug wizard did not recognize that name). I am working with 1280x1024 screen resolution and was previously using the default SuSE desktop and Keramik style. I tried to select and apply the theme called "Wood" and all hell broke loose. First the KDE Panel (kicker?) crashed with a SIGSEGV and I could not shut KDE down properly. Right-clicking the desktop did not work either. So I re-booted by hardware. Then KDE Splash crashed with a SIGSEGV during restart and the desktop was again unusable. Finally I went to the Linux login as "root" and moved all files in ~/.kde/share/config that were created after I selected "Wood" into a subdir called CRASH. Then I was able to restart KDE and it came up in SuSE mode again. Phew!!!! No more themes for me !!! P.S. I can send you those config files if they would help.
