Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.2) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux I tried to login with kppp to my dial-up account which is provided to me by the University I study in. The username is samos\abc***** (something). Then, kppp exits with exit-status 16. I have contacted our University's HelpDesk, and after lots of tests, they came up that linux (and kppp) faces the backslash (\) as an escape character. I tried lots of compinations such as samos\\abc**** or 'samos\abc****' etc but the problem was not solved. Is there anything that you can do in order to ignore backslash as an escape character and treat it as a normal char? Thanks in advance
Is this still happening with a newer version of the application?
