Description Denny Schierz 2003-07-22 23:14:05 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -O2 -m3dnow -mmmx -msse -mfpmath=sse -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe"
OS: Linux

hi,

khtml has problems with some php websites, which are using layers, the best example was gentoo.de but they changed the website :-/ They had a menu with a drop down list created with php. It was/is impossible to klick on a menu entry, cause the menu was not listed complete, or they overlay themselves.
The other point is, you can see it on my (private) website http://debian02.dyndns.org/typoplain/typo3 (it is a dial up pc, so if it is down, please try again later). The frontpage is not correct and you can't login with press enter. You must press the login button.

cu denny and thanks for the great job :-) :-)
Comment 1 Thiago Macieira 2003-07-23 01:18:52 UTC
We'll need a testcase for the layers in order to do anything about
them.

As for your site, hitting Enter works for me (CVS HEAD). But the text
does flow out of the table cell it's in.

And please post one bug per bug report, so that we can track them
more easily.

hi,

i created a site with a php(Javascipt) Layer for the navigation. Now you
can see, what happens. The Site was created with typo3 (cms).

I test it, with kde 3.1.3 and kde 3.1.4 (Gentoo packages).

please go to http://debian02.dyndns.org/typoplain/

In Mozilla/IE it show correct

Thanks :-)

Comment 4 Stephan Kulow 2003-11-27 20:42:59 UTC
we need a reduced test case. I guess the elements are positioned wrongly
Comment 5 Denny Schierz 2003-11-27 21:03:13 UTC
No, the elements are correct (i hope ;-) ..)You can test it, please do the following:

add to you're /etc/hosts

217.160.72.167 www.lippelt-back.com

Now open Mozilla/Firebird/Opera/IE(5;6.x) and go to www.lippelt-back.com

now check the navigation, you will see, it works with these browsers. After that, open the Konquerer please (3.1.x) and check the layout and the navigation.

Konqi shows the page in a different look. The fonts are a little bit higher (in the complete layout) with the same font options like in mozilla. You can see a break in navi. (the sixth entry).

If you go to this page:

http://www.lippelt-back.com/index.php?id=97

The small flash animation is too small, but that is an another build place :-)

If you need more information, please contact me :-)

hi,

i installed KDE 3.2 (stable) and i have the same problem. The navigation is unusable with layers.

I hope, that can be fixed in the future ;-)
Comment 7 Denny Schierz 2004-02-05 00:49:23 UTC
Oh, i see, the link does not work, please use http://www.lippelt-back.com/index.php .
Comment 8 Denny Schierz 2004-05-11 19:47:27 UTC
I installed now kde 3.2.2, nothing changed, so i leave this bug open.
Comment 9 Tommi Tervo 2006-03-02 13:31:24 UTC
http://www.lippelt-back.com/index.php works fine with konqueror 3.5.1
