Description christophe 2003-07-08 21:52:17 UTC
Version: 1.5.2 (using KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: (testing/unstable)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3 (Debian)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20.ccs.34+debianlogo+ck

Problem: I often type ctrl-Enter ("Send") too fast and regret the next second... but it's too late, the mail is sent (to the wrong address, especially on mailing lists with reply-to to the original sender, or as a half-finished mail).
"Send later" is not enough, as I would forget sometimes to send explicitly messages (in particular it does not send messages when closing KMail BTW). "Confirm before sending" would make me crazy after the 10th message.
I'd just like Kmail to wait 1 or 2 minutes with the message in Outbox before attempting to send it - it would be quick enough for urgent messages, but would avoid many mistakes :o)

What you want is, then, to have the option "Automatically send queued messages"? That's
already there in KMail from CVS (at least).
Comment 2 christophe 2003-07-09 20:03:20 UTC
"Automatically send queued messages"? Perhaps.
-> When are these messages sent? At a given interval? When closing Kmail?
(Can't find anything on it on Google).

I'd still like to see this feature (I would just have needed it today...). Sending queued messages explicitly is not possible (I would forget).

Comment 5 Björn Ruberg 2009-12-18 18:13:58 UTC
Correct, but I would reduce the delay to 30 seconds.
Comment 6 ancow 2010-01-18 01:34:02 UTC
I personally think the delay should be configurable. Maybe also some sort of "send in X minutes" option that would prompt the user for a delay.
Comment 7 Myriam Schweingruber 2012-08-18 08:23:37 UTC
Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.
Comment 8 Luigi Toscano 2012-08-19 01:01:52 UTC
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
