Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.2) OS: Linux My desktop has many open shells. In the ALT-TAB selection box theseall look the same. However, I know different activities to happen in each that also look very different. If you could show the current image of that window while it is selected in the ALT-TAB box then this would be very helpful for selecting the right one. A static image would be sufficient, although seeing a thumbnail of the real window with all its dynamics would be much nicer.
Sorry, this is a wish, not a bug.

Sorry, but that's not technically possible. KWin has no way to get contents of a non-visible (or partially obscured) windows. And even if it had, it would be quite expensive I'm afraid.

The new implementation for 3.3 shows at least for every window the icon along with the window title in a list. See http://members.aon.at/m.koller/kwin-tab3.png If this is sufficient for you, please close this issue.
