Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux I write long documents with kile so i split them in many files (1/chapter). I would like to be able to save them as a project (like with quanta). The features I need are : -loading a project means kile knows all the files concerned; -seach/replace is possible in all the files of the project; -if I change the name of a label somewhere it should change anywhere in the project (tab ref etc.); -if I change the name of a file the tags include should change; Ther must be some other things easily controled by a project environment that I don't think about...
Project management is planned for future releases. However right now we're focusing on rewriting some major parts of the code, so I can't work on it right now. But it is definitely something that should be part of Kile!
I started implementing project management a few weeks ago and I am now well on my way. Project management will be a part of 1.6, but I'm not sure if I have the smart replacing functions ready in time. best, Jeroen
Great Work!! Mid-October is comming soon!
Most of it is implemented, except for the automatic \label and \include changes and the replace function (search is implemented in CVS). Please file a new bug report for project specific wishes. best, Jeroen
