Version: 1.5.1 (using KDE 3.1.1) Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 [FreeBSD] 20030205 (release) OS: FreeBSD (i386) release 5.1-BETA When started for the first time, KMail creates several local folders. They are all of the type maildir -- the KMail's default default :-) The user should be given the possibility to choose the types of these folders when they are created. For example, I like them all in the mbox format, so I can access them with elm....
Or at least be able to remove the default folders. They are the only thing preventing me from using KMail.
This wishlist item isn't FreeBSD-specific.
If you want mbox folders then simply do the following before the first start of KMail (yes, we will probably ask the user sometime in the future, but for now ...): mkdir ~/Mail touch ~/Mail/inbox touch ~/Mail/outbox touch ~/Mail/trash touch ~/Mail/drafts touch ~/Mail/sent-mail
Such a question would confuse normal users.
Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
