Version: 3.1 (using KDE 3.1.2) Installed from: compiled sources Compiler: gcc version 3.2.1 20021125 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2.1-1) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-27.8.0 The KDE Help Center is limited to one instance, which IMHO is limiting and can be very annoying. Help should not be 'centered' like 'Control Center', but rather behave as a browser like Konqueror. For example, I have application A on desktop 1 and click on 'Help'. The help browser comes up on desktop 1 with the handbook for A. So far so good. Now, I lauch application B on desktop 2 and click on 'Help'. I would expect a similar behaviour (help browser comes up on desktop 2 with the handbook for B). Instead, I get switched to desktop 1, and handbook B takes over A, so I lost my track of handbook A). What if I do want to have two handbooks open at the same time ? In summary, having multiple instances of Help browser (center might not be such a great word for it) would enable more functionality and better desktop consistency, primariliy by: - Getting help on several applications simultaneously - No annoying and counterintuitive desktop switches
