WARNING: I just tried to repeat this, and couldn't.  I swear it happened, though.

I like my Sender column on the left, and my Subject column in the center.  Thanks to the nice configurability of kmail, I can drag the Sender column over to where I like it.  However, when I went into the Settings -> Configure Kmail..., changed something and clicked OK it reset the columns order back to the factory default.
