Description Bernd Zimmer 2003-06-16 11:11:57 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages
Compiler: gcc 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease)
OS: Linux

when i try to blank a cdrw, i get an error 255 but when i copy and paste the the string from k3b to rease the cd, cdrecord on the konsole does the job.

k3b used the following to blank the cd:
/usr/bin/cdrecord -v dev=0,0,0 speed=8 -eject blank=fast

here is the konsole output when i try to erase a CDRW with k3b:

Comment 1 Bernd Zimmer 2003-06-16 11:26:06 UTC
btw. the k3b version i use is k3b0.9pre1 but it didn't work with 0.81 either.

oh and the message from k3b is not error 255, sorry for the confusion
it says:
Neuladen des Mediums erforderlich
Input/output error. Not necessarily serios.
Blanking error

Comment 2 Sebastian Trueg 2003-07-02 16:26:02 UTC
(cdrecord) Re-load disk and hit <CR>

This is the problem. This is very interesting. I cannot test it since I do not own a drive that is
not able to load the disk. Could you please try 0.9pre2.
Perhaps it's fixed. If not, I will try again.

Cheers,
Sebastian
Comment 3 Sebastian Trueg 2003-09-01 14:46:00 UTC
