Version: 1.5.9 (using KDE 3.1.9) Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.1 3.2.2-3mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-0.13mdk When I click on a mailto: url on konqueror and KMail is already running, then a mail composer window is open. Then if want to close this window, it close KMail too :-( It is very annoying and it will be fix as soon as possible to my mine. The expected behaviour is to don't close KMail if it a KMail window is steel availab.le
I can't reproduce this on KDE cvs-head with Kmail from cvs-head.
Closing.
DON'T CLOSED IT PLEASE !!! Sorry , I have forgotten to say that my KMail was minimized in the systray panel (new in KDE-CVS). So when KMail is in the systray and we click on a mailto: url and close this mail composer window, then KMail close :(
Still cant reproduce it with systray enabled.
Systray is enabled for KMail but KMail is only in the systray, not in the taskbar. In my kmailrc I have : systray-on-mail=true systray-on-new=false
Subject: Re: KMail close when mail composer window open from mailto: url is closed Currently KMail is closed whenever the last KMail window is closed (whether this is a main window or a composer is irrelevant). It's currently not possible to have KMail running only as applet (unless you changed your KMail accordingly).
Is it possible to test if KMail is also in the systray ? Because my Kmail is very often in the systray now :) And I don't hack KMail for this : it is possible in the CVS. Thanks, Franck
ah, if you click on the systray icon, it hides the main window. And if you close the generated composer, then you exit kmail. Suprisingly indeed.

Always here in KDE CVS.
Fixed meanwhile. Works fine with current head.
