Description Itay 'z9u2K' Duvdevani 2003-05-31 16:30:56 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.2.2
OS: Linux

While working with a Hebrew layout with XFree 4.3.0, brackets will appear )like this( when typing Hebrew text.
I understand that was a workaround for a bug in XFree that was fixes, thus this workaround became the bug I'm reporting.
Comment 1 Dirk Mueller 2003-07-14 17:47:32 UTC
can you give more information about when or how this workaround was
established?
Comment 2 Itay 'z9u2K' Duvdevani 2003-07-14 22:07:11 UTC
As I see it, the workaround was established by Trolltech's people, who I have also
submitted this bug to. According to their reply, it should be fixed on the next Qt's beta.

I think Qt simple replaces ( with ) and ) with ( when typing RTL text, but I havn't looked
into the code, just guessing.

I hate this bug!
Comment 4 Waldo Bastian 2003-10-15 18:11:28 UTC
Qt bug, not a KDE bug.
