Description Beat Fasel 2003-05-02 07:39:27 UTC
Version: 0.4 (using KDE KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Kmenuedit has crashed on me many times (several time due to the already reported bug no.14029, which was closed for unknown reasons and should be re-opened).
Several times I have lost hereyby whole folders with all sub-folders and items in it (e.g. Openoffice). Afterwards, I had to manually add all missing items again. This is very annoying.
I propose that you add a recover mode, where the last menu could be re-established. Also it would be nice to be able to reset the menu to the orginial configuration. In order to make this work, Kmenuedit would hereby save different menu-layouts to disk, so that one can go back in time.

Thanks for your understanding,
Beat

Will consider it.

Reset to original configuration is now implemented in the Edit menu.

Feature implemented in KDE 4.2 by Laurent Montel.
