Version: 0.6.1a (using KDE KDE 3.1.1a) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc 3.2.2 OS: Linux I am using WindowMaker (yes, I know, want to be as KDE-ish as possible and so on...) and I think when closing the window it should not try to go to the system tray when there is none but just minimize instead. It's a bit annoying when I have to use dcop to restore the main window every time I accidently click there :-)
you can turn off docking in the preferences dialog
Could you give me a hint _where_ in the preferences? If I had found it, I wouldn't have wasted your time, sorry.
Settings->Configure Kmail->Network->Receiving uncheck "System Tray Notification"
Thanks... of course, kmail configuration is the first place where I search for kopete docking behaviour :-) - btw, I can't find this point in the Kmail configuration. The only thing with notification there is a widget group "New Mail Notification" which has a checkbox for "Beep" and a button "Other Actions" which shows a different dialog that knows nothing about a system tray. So there's still the same question: How to stop kopete from trying to hide in the non-existant systray?
System tray notification added on cvs-head. So you better update your cvs. For kopete I got no idea :/
Just to make sure I get this right... kmail configuration is not expected to change kopete's behaviour? Seems some sanity is left :-)
No kmail doesnt affect anything but itself.
now who is on drugs here and talks about kmail? LOL Sorry if this is not in Kopete 0.6.x, I'm loosing track of the features we have in 0.6.x :) It's under Behaviour->General->Show system tray icon Again sorry if this didn't make it into 0.6.x but backporting new features is not allowed, only Bugfixes go into 0.6.x.
/me is on drugs. Blah!
