Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1a) Installed from: Debian stable Packages Compiler: gcc-2.95.4 OS: Linux Hi, may it be possible to add the option to digital read out the CD (like ripping software does)? Why? My drive seems to have better error correction then. With one CD here, one track is jumping around. Using xmms with cd-read plugin works but it is not very comfortable. HS
Subject: Re: New: digitally read-out of the cd As a work-around you might want to use the audiocd plugin. Open a konqueror window with URL = "audiocd:/" and click on the tracks listed in WAV format. This should be more or less the same (except for the different interface). hth, luis pedro
you can do the audiocd:/ trick with both kaboodle and noatun as well, which are media players (making it a bit easier =)

Well, you mean using noatun (that's what konq is suggesting). I installed noatun but it behaves exactly like I had it in mind from earlier days: it instantly crashes. The player that is embedded in konq cannot handle the audiocd:// urls (at least it does noting when drag'n'dropping a file there from audiocd:// but it normally works).
