Description Christian Wolfgang Hujer 2003-04-10 18:46:29 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

When I use the send-to feature from kAdressBook, the non-ascii-characters get screwed up.

My system is configured to use UTF-8. LANG and all LC_* are de_DE.UTF-8 (except LC_COLLATE which is POSIX).

The contact from the Addressbook is Herr Adam Drążek, when I use the send button, kMail pops up with Herr Adam DrÄżek. The chars are screwed up, I think kAdressbook doesn't use the proper encoding. (But it might also be a bug in kMail when receiving the data).

The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
