Description Karsten Künne 2003-03-05 18:12:33 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

We use the UW imap server here and that server has a driver which can
make MH folders (that are in principle directories where each mail is kept
in a separate file but it's not compatible to maildir) visible via IMAP in
the namespace "#mh". This works fine in mozilla, I can subscribe to my
MH folders and they appear under "#mh" in my folder tree. In kmail
these folders are not shown at all, there is no "#mh" tree or anything
like that. It also doesn't help if I turn on "show only subscribed folders",
still not there. I verified with mozilla that I'm subscribed to these folders
(the GUI for that is still missing in kmail but I understand it'll be in
KDE 3.2) but they still don't show up in kmail.

Oh, I forgot to mention besides that problem Kmail + Aegypten rocks!!

You can manually select this namespace with the prefix. Automatic namespace
detection is not supported yet.

Yes, it works. But I can't select more than one namespace. For instance, if I
have regular folders under ~/Mail and MH folders I can't see them both at the
same time with kmail. Are there plans to support more than one namespace in
the future (as in mozilla)?

You can simply set up the IMAP account several times (with different
prefixes).

I tried that and it sort of works but it prompts me several times for the same
password which is somehow annoying. For some reason it doesn't prompt only
twice as I would have expected but 3 or 4 times. So it's no more than an ugly
workaround. Is somebody working on real namespace support?
