I would guess that this is due to the stylesheet call: <link rel="Stylesheet" href="/QA/2002/12/qa4.css" /> (note the upper-case "S"). The css validator also has a problem with it. XHTML is a "lower-case markup language" (see e.g http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/#h-4.2 ) but that rules doesn't include attribute values, and HTML4.01 (which holds the info for link types) says 'These link types are case-insensitive, i.e., "Alternate" has the same meaning as "alternate".' (http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-html401-19991224/types.html#h-6.12). I'm changing the QA homepage to use lower-case "stylesheet" but you now have a test case...
