Actions: - rightclick on the toolbar - select 'configure toolbars...' - remove the kget button from 'mainToolBar <khtml_kget>' - press 'Ok'\ Result: The button is still there. But all newly opened windows do not have the button.
This is now fixed in KGet v0.83 (Using KDE 3.1.93 (CVS >= 20031028)). Bug report should be closed. FIXED

On saving, strip that part again, so we round-trip back to the original channel names.
