SUMMARY Since the update to KDE 6, Get New [Thing] only shows a tiny fraction of the available [Thing]. For example, Get New Plasma Widgets loads 14 - 20 widgets, depending on how many of the results of "sort by" are already installed. That the offerings available change radically depending on how one sorts indicates that one is only getting the first X results available from that sorting. This effects all [Thing], so has to do with how the list one is browsing is being retrieved, I think -- if I had to guess, it just doesn't update the browsing list after getting the first batch to show. It isn't affected by [Thing] in any perceptible way. This has been going on since I first used KDE 6, in frameworks 6.1. I am reporting it now because I don't use the feature much, so I hadn't checked if it was fixed since roughly 6.11.0 for frameworks; it remains in 6.23. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Get New [Thing], 2. See roughly a dozen out of the expected hundreds of [Thing] 3. Sort [Thing] differently, seeing a different dozen [Thing] OBSERVED RESULT One really can't find new [Thing] one hasn't seen before. EXPECTED RESULT A cornucopia of available [Thing]'s to pick from. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch, 6.18.x KDE Plasma Version: plasma 6.1 up to 6.5.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.1.0 up to 6.23.0 Qt Version: (up to) 6.10.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Not sure what would be informative to screenshot or upload, let me know.
