Hi, Serina and Zenith! What desktop environment and window manager you use?
Hi Dmitry, KDE Plasma 6.6 and Kwin 6.6
Hi, Serina and ZenithMonk! Could you please help me and explain how can I enable global menu in Plasma? Also, is this bug reproducible in Krita 5.3.0 Beta3? Or is it only related to 6.0.0 beta3?
Hi Dmitry, > Could you please help me and explain how can I enable global menu in Plasma? To enable the global menu, you can right-click your desktop, enter edit mode, click on "Add Panel" and then choose "Application Menu Bar". > Also, is this bug reproducible in Krita 5.3.0 Beta3? Or is it only related to 6.0.0 beta3? The global menu is present in 5.3.0 Beta3! However, it is not available in the 6.0.0 Beta3.
Thanks! I can confirm then! :)
Great, thanks!
I need to check my emails more often... oops!

Hi, So a couple of days ago, when upgrading to Krita 6 from the extra Arch repo, the global menu was displayed. I only started the program a few times, and it worked every time. Now, it is gone again. But it could be due to some potential qt (qt5) dependencies I recently removed.
I don't think this is the same issue as in the last few comments of bug 483170. This one seems specific to app image, probably because of some missing Qt6 plugin. What is being reported by Arch users in 483170 is a regression with Qt 6.11 specifically.
> What is being reported by Arch users in 483170 is a regression with Qt 6.11 specifically. Well, until we updated our Qt to 6.11, I'm afraid, the reports against the version in the distribution is in "unmaintained" mode :( PS: Though we are kind of planning to do that in the nearest future.

I can confirm this on Garuda aswell and this is a native package (non appimage, non flatpak, no whatever, straight package from arch repo!) , KDE_NO_GLOBAL_MENU=0 or KDE_NO_GLOBAL_MENU=1 environment solves the issue temporary, but thats just a workaround, so it would be nice to know if a permanent fix arrives, because this was bugged since the previous ticket https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=483170 idk why it works with 0 or 1 values tho, as the logic would dictate otherwise, maybe there's some weird logic behind ? idk.
